Contrary to popular belief, you don’t think your way into balance, you feel your way back to it. I am Elizabeth. I'm a mother, a somatic practitioner, and a community builder. I created Embody First because I know what it feels like to lose yourself in motherhood and desperately need a soft place to land, a place where someone finally sees you, not just your role.

Here, we don't start in your head. We start in your body.
 

Through somatic sessions, breathwork, and integrative coaching, you'll experience what your nervous system has been asking for: presence, safety, release, and connection.

Everything is changing — your body, your identity, your sense of self. Beneath the excitement there may be anxiety, old wounds surfacing, or simply a longing to feel grounded. You don't have to navigate this alone. This is your space to be held while you prepare to hold new life.

Everyone told you about the sleepless nights. Nobody told you about the identity shift. You love your baby and you also miss yourself — and both of those things are true at the same time. This is a space to be honest about how hard it actually is, and to begin finding your way back to yourself.

The laundry, the lunches, the emotional labor that never makes it onto any list. You are managing everything for everyone and somewhere along the way you stopped being on your own list. You may feel depleted. This is a space to put yourself back on the list and actually mean it.

Just when you thought you had motherhood figured out, everything shifted again. Old patterns, old wounds, old dreams you set aside — this season has a way of calling everything forward. This is a space to grow alongside them.

Empty nest can feel like freedom and grief living in the same body at the same time. You don't have to rush into the next thing. This is the space to sit with the in-between, tend to yourself, and let what's next reveal itself.

-You're a grandmother now, & you're rediscovering yourself all over again.

Grandmotherhood has a way of cracking you open in the most unexpected ways. Old memories surface. Old wounds too. And alongside them — a quiet longing to feel whole, present, and fully alive for this new chapter. You belong here just as much as any other mother in this space.

Why Body-First? What Makes This Different?

Here's what you probably already know:

You can't think your way out of anxiety.

You can't willpower your way through trauma.

You can't breathe-and-meditate your stress away when your nervous system is stuck in survival mode.

Before your mind can change, your body has to feel safe.

That’s the missing piece- why many traditional approaches to stress, anxiety, and trauma fall short, & why so many moms still don't feel better. 

What makes this work different:

This is not talk therapy where you revisit the same story. And, it’s not another mindfulness technique that offers temporary relief. This is direct body-based nervous system workhelping your body release stored stress, process unresolved trauma, and repattern itself back to regulation.

Through somatic sessions, breathwork, and integrative coaching, you'll experience safety, release, and connection through presence as felt experiences in your body, not concepts you understand, but states you actually inhabit.

This is body-first healing. When your nervous system feels safe, everything shifts, your anxiety decreases, your clarity returns, your capacity for presence expands.

The Shift

When you're living with chronic stress, anxiety, or unprocessed trauma, your nervous system gets stuck in survival mode. No amount of positive thinking can override a body that doesn't feel safe. This is where somatic work changes everything.​

1: You Feel It Immediately
After your first session, something shifts. That tight grip in your chest loosens. Your breath deepens. You remember what calm feels like in your body, not just as a concept. Your nervous system begins to recognize: this is what safety feels like.

2: You Start Responding Differently 

Within weeks, you notice something changing. The anxiety doesn't hijack you as quickly. You can feel your emotions without drowning in them. You're sleeping better, thinking clearer, and showing up more present — for yourself and for your children. The chronic tension you've been carrying starts to release.

3: You feel like yourself again

Over time, balance becomes your baseline instead of something you're always chasing. You trust yourself again. You handle what life brings without collapsing or overriding. You feel present, grounded, and safe in your own skin — and the people around you feel the difference too.

 

This is what happens when a mother heals. Everyone in her orbit feels it.

Happy Breathwork Session

I had my first session with Elizabeth and it was wonderful. I had looked into it a little bit before hand but wasn’t sure what exactly to expect. Elizabeth welcomed me into her studio which is very calming and inviting ms we went over what I could expect and she answered all the questions I had. 

I have tried different meditations and breath work before but this was the first time I was really able to be present and turn my mind off. There was a feeling of relief and relaxation. 

After the session I felt very calm but also like I had a runners high. 

I recommend this practice to anyone who wants to unplug and relax.

Step 1: We Connect

Book a complimentary consultation. We'll talk about what you're carrying- the stress, the exhaustion, the places where you feel stuck- and explore together what kind of support feels right for you. No pressure. Just a real conversation.

Step 2: We Create Your Path

Every mother's nervous system is different. Based on what you share, we'll design a personalized path that might include somatic sessions, breathwork, integrative coaching, or a combination of all three. You'll always know what we're doing and why.

Step 3: You Begin to Feel the Difference

This is where the shift happens, not just talking about healing but actually experiencing it in your body. Session by session, you'll build the safety, regulation, and tools to carry that grounded state into your everyday life- into your mothering, your relationships, and yourself. You don't have to keep feeling this way. It starts with one conversation.

Ways We Work Together

Private Sessions

Body-based somatic therapies and breathwork for nervous-system regulation and integration.

Private sessions are one-to-one experiences designed to support stress reduction, trauma-informed healing, emotional regulation, and nervous-system balance.

This work blends trauma-informed somatic practices with breathwork, and guided awareness to help the body release stored stress, restore safety, and reorganize out of survival mode.

Sessions are paced, contained, and intentional, supporting presence, clarity, and embodied regulation rather than cathartic release alone. 

Integrative Coaching

Ongoing support between sessions, helping you apply somatic insights to daily life, shift limiting beliefs, recognize nervous system patterns in real-time, and make decisions from a regulated state. Integrative Coaching transforms session breakthroughs into lasting change through mindset work, accountability, and practical application.

These intimate group sessions are designed for mothers of all ages and phases who are ready to move through barriers to creativity, desire, and self-expression. Through somatic practices paired with art, you'll release stored emotions, reconnect to your heart and intuitive knowing, co-regulate in community, and rediscover the joy, play, and wonder that healing can hold.

 

Each session is themed, immersive, and deeply connective, and occasionally includes opportunities to bring your children into the experience.
