Integrative Coaching
A more intentional way to move through your life.
You understand yourself. But are you experiencing life the way you want to?
Maybe you've spent years reflecting, learning, growing, and trying different approaches to feeling better in your everyday life. You recognize your patterns. You understand your circumstances. You may even know what you'd like to change.
And yet, something still feels disconnected.
What if the next step isn't more information, but a different way of experiencing yourself?
Integrative Coaching at Embody First offers a thoughtful, individualized approach to personal growth, bringing together psychology-informed inquiry, somatic awareness, breath, meaningful connection, and intentional reflection. It's an invitation to become curious about your experiences, explore new perspectives, and discover more intentional ways of living, leading, and relating.

When Understanding Isn't Enough
You can know what matters to you and still find yourself caught in familiar patterns.
You can recognize what's contributing to your stress and still struggle to respond differently in the moment. You can have a full, meaningful life and still feel disconnected from parts of yourself.
Sometimes, what we're looking for isn't another answer. It's the space to notice what's happening beneath our familiar thoughts, stories, and responses.
Because knowing something and experiencing it are not the same thing.
This is where Integrative Coaching begins.
Rather than focusing exclusively on what you think or what you believe you should do, we create space to explore your experiences more fully—with curiosity, compassion, and awareness. Not everything needs to be immediately analyzed, fixed, or changed. Sometimes, learning to relate differently to an experience is itself a meaningful place to begin.
Does This Sound Familiar?
Perhaps you're someone who holds a great deal together.
You show up for the people who depend on you. You manage responsibilities, navigate relationships, make decisions, and keep moving forward.
Yet beneath the surface, you may find yourself:
-
Feeling overwhelmed or stretched thin, even when life is going reasonably well.
-
Recognizing familiar emotional or behavioral patterns but struggling to respond differently.
-
Feeling disconnected from your own needs, desires, or sense of direction.
-
Frustrated that the things you've tried haven't brought the clarity or connection you hoped for.
-
Questioning who you are becoming or what you want from this season of life.
-
Wanting to feel more present and intentional in your relationships and everyday experiences.
You don't need to identify with every description. And you don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal. You only need a willingness to become curious about yourself and what's possible.
Beyond Insight. Into Experience.
A different approach to personal growth.
Traditional approaches to personal development often emphasize thinking, analyzing, and understanding. Those are valuable parts of the process.
But our experiences are also shaped by physical sensations, emotional responses, habitual patterns, relationships, and the ways we interpret what happens around us.
Integrative Coaching invites these dimensions into the conversation.
Through thoughtful inquiry, somatic self-awareness, and appropriate experiential practices, we explore not only what you're thinking, but how you're experiencing yourself and your life. This isn't about forcing change or following a predetermined formula. It's about developing greater awareness, considering new perspectives, and experimenting with ways to bring that understanding into everyday life.
Awareness creates opportunities. What we do with those opportunities becomes part of the work.
An Integrative Approach
Rooted in connection. Guided by curiosity.
My approach draws from my academic background in psychology, professional coaching training, and certification as a Soma+IQ practitioner. At the heart of our work is connection—the relationship you have with yourself, your experiences, and the people and world around you.
Rather than introducing a fixed series of techniques, I draw from complementary approaches to create an individualized coaching experience.
Connection & Attunement
Our work begins with a collaborative relationship built on presence, listening, respect, and trust. There is space for your experience to be acknowledged without judgment or an immediate need to fix it.
Somatic Self-Inquiry
We bring curiosity to the relationship between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and familiar responses. This offers opportunities to notice aspects of your experience that may be less apparent through conversation alone.
Meaningful Conversation & Inquiry
Through thoughtful questions and reflection, we explore the beliefs, perspectives, experiences, and patterns influencing your life.
Breath & Mindful Awareness
When appropriate, gentle guided breathing and mindfulness practices can support present-moment awareness and offer another way to explore your experience. Practices are always collaborative and optional.
Mindset & Perspective
We examine familiar narratives and assumptions, considering how different interpretations or perspectives might open possibilities for choice.
Integration & Intentional Action
We explore ways to bring what emerges during our sessions into your daily life, relationships, decisions, and routines.
Not every session includes every approach.
The work is guided by you, supported by my professional training, and shaped around what is meaningful in the moment.
What Might We Explore Together?
Every person brings a different story, set of experiences, and season of life.
Our work may include:
Self-Awareness & Personal Patterns
Becoming more curious about the thoughts, habits, beliefs, and responses shaping your experiences.
Stress & Everyday Overwhelm
Exploring how you experience daily pressures, recognize your needs, and make more intentional choices about how you respond.
Mindset & Perspective
Questioning familiar assumptions and considering alternative ways of understanding yourself and your circumstances.
Life Transitions & Personal Direction
Exploring changing priorities, identity, purpose, and the possibilities emerging in a new season of life.
Relationships & Connection
Reflecting on communication, personal boundaries, expectations, and the ways you relate to yourself and others.
Presence & Embodied Awareness
Becoming more attentive to what you're experiencing in the moment, including emotions, sensations, and habitual responses.
Values, Purpose & Intentional Living
Clarifying what matters most and considering how those values might be more fully expressed in everyday decisions.
There is no prescribed destination. We begin with where you are and what you'd like to explore.
Inside an Integrative Coaching Session
Your experience. Your questions. Your pace.
Each session is a private, 60-minute opportunity to step outside the demands of everyday life and give thoughtful attention to what matters to you. We begin by exploring what's present—what you've noticed, what you're experiencing, and what feels meaningful to examine.
From there, our conversation may incorporate somatic self-inquiry, guided breathing, mindful awareness, or reflection, depending on your interests, comfort, and intentions. Some sessions are primarily conversational. Others invite more experiential exploration.
As our time comes to a close, we reflect on what emerged and consider how you might bring that awareness into the days ahead. You won't be handed a formula for how to live. You'll be supported in exploring your own understanding, choices, and possibilities.
What Working Together Looks Like
Meaningful growth takes time.
Integrative Coaching is an ongoing, collaborative process rather than a one-time conversation or quick fix. Personal patterns, perspectives, and ways of responding develop over time. Exploring them thoughtfully—and bringing new awareness into everyday life—deserves time and attention, too.
We begin with a four-week coaching engagement.
This initial commitment allows us to establish a working relationship, clarify your intentions, explore meaningful areas of your life, and begin integrating new awareness and practices between sessions.
Our work doesn't end when the session ends.
Between appointments, you'll have opportunities to reflect, explore personalized practices, and share questions or observations as they arise. At the conclusion of our four weeks, we'll review your experience, revisit your intentions, and determine together whether continuing would be valuable. Some clients may choose additional coaching. Others may feel ready to continue exploring independently.
There is no automatic commitment beyond the initial engagement.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is Integrative Coaching different from traditional life coaching?
My approach is grounded in psychology-informed inquiry and somatic practice. Alongside meaningful conversation, we may explore physical sensations, emotional experiences, breath, mindfulness, and the relationship between awareness and everyday choices. It's a collaborative, experiential approach rather than a prescribed self-improvement formula.
Is Integrative Coaching therapy?
No. Integrative Coaching is a personal-development service, not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. My academic psychology background informs my approach, but these coaching services do not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. Coaching may complement professional mental health care when appropriate, but does not replace it.
What if I've already tried therapy, meditation, or other personal-development approaches?
You can bring everything you've learned from those experiences into our work. Integrative Coaching offers a different setting for exploring self-awareness, embodied experience, meaningful choices, and the integration of personal insights. It isn't a replacement for care you may need or already be receiving.
Do we practice breathwork in every session?
Not necessarily. Breath is one of several tools available within our work. Sessions are shaped around your needs, intentions, and comfort, and any guided practice is optional.
Why begin with four weeks?
Four weeks gives us a consistent starting structure, with time for conversation, reflection, practice, and integration between sessions. It doesn't guarantee a particular outcome or establish a fixed timeline for personal growth. At the end, we review your experience and decide whether continuing makes sense.
What happens after the first four weeks?
We evaluate your experience together. You may choose to continue coaching by mutual agreement, or conclude the engagement and integrate what you've explored independently.
What if I'm unsure whether coaching is right for me?
That's exactly what the introductory consultation is for. We can discuss what you're seeking, explain the process, and determine whether coaching is appropriate for your needs.
There's Value in Making Space for Yourself.
Not because there's something wrong with who you are.
Not because you need another thing to accomplish.
But because your experiences, questions, relationships, and aspirations deserve your attention.
Perhaps the next step is greater awareness.
A fresh perspective.
A more intentional response.
Or simply the opportunity to explore what it means to feel more connected to yourself and the life you're living.

Professional Note:
Integrative Coaching is a personal development service, not psychotherapy, medical care, or mental health treatment. Coaching can complement other forms of personal and professional support, including psychotherapy, counseling, and other wellness practices. These approaches serve different purposes and can work alongside one another, offering additional opportunities for self-awareness, reflection, and intentional growth. My work is collaborative, individualized, and offered within the scope of professional coaching.
